I think that not having enough money to eat healthy is what stops many people – when they can buy a McD hamburger for less money than some fruit, what do you think they buy? Please keep giving us lots and lots of information about how to eat healthy for cheap!!!

Elle, thanks for commenting! Although I see where you’re coming from, I reject the assumption that people can’t afford to eat healthy if they’re poor. That is exactly why I pour so much work into this website–because I’m trying to change this paradigm. I wish this site could be my full time job! 🙂

I agree that the problem starts way before someone’s habits are solidified in their 30’s. Food is tricky. We have to eat it to survive, but it can also become a drug – one we hide behind, self-soothe with, reward ourselves with, punish ourselves with, etc.

Keeping America fat is a big, profitable business. The problem doesn’t stop with the fast food companies, it stems right on down to the farmers and even the seed companies who provide the farmers.

What a compelling video! I hoped it was a trailer to a documentary!
