For about 4 bucks you could buy a bottle of this kind of dressing from the store. But why would you? Homemade dressing is a fraction of the price, takes about 90 seconds to make, and tastes amazing. Ya’ know why it tastes amazing? Because you can taste all of the ingredients without those weird chemicals covering up the flavor and you can customize the dressing to your own preferences.

Here are the ingredients I used:  Balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, honey, garlic, rosemary, basil and sage.

First, start by peeling a few cloves of garlic. I like the taste of raw garlic, so I used 3 cloves. Don’t bother with chopping–they’ll be pulverized in the blender.

I intentionally don’t give you an exact amount for each herb because I don’t cook like that and I want you to cook according to your own preferences. If you don’t like basil, don’t put it in! If you love rosemary, put in extra!

Give the blender a little burst to break up the garlic.

Then put in your liquids and a spoonful of honey or sugar.  Below you can see my ratio of oil to vinegar. I like it very strong so I don’t have to use too much on my salads or whatever. If you taste it and realize it’s too strong, just add more oil.

Mmmmm…..smell it!

Post-pulverizing.

Serve on a salad or use it as a meat marinade–be creative!
