Hubba Hubba, these things were tasty! Ya’ know that Garlic and Ginger Soy dressing recipe I posted a few days ago? If you’ve made that, these wraps will be a WHOLE lot simpler. Soooo…. go make it! Sorry for the iPhone picture quality!
So, start with throwing some chicken and a handful of broccoli in a heated and oiled pan.
In the meantime, get a piece of foil and put a tortilla on top. You don’t have to do this, but it’s a nice way to eat it if you’re on the run. Plus the the heat from the guts “steams” the tortilla.
After the chicken and broccoli have become browned, add a tablespoon or two of the Garlic and Ginger Soy dressing and stir. If you didn’t make it, add some grated ginger, grated garlic, soy sauce and olive oil. This smell is officially amazing. Cook and stir for another minute or two and put the filling in the two flour tortillas. If you have no idea how to wrap a tortilla properly, go here.
Oh, and I was entirely too hungry and impatient to take a picture of the finished product.
Ya know, some of my recipes may seem kinda similar- some kind of meat with some kind of vegetable with some kind of spice or theme. Well, I’m a big fan of crazy and interesting dishes, but I’m also practical and realize that I can’t have a junk load of food in my fridge and make a totally unique meal every single time I eat. I’m sure that if you have a full-time job you can’t do that either. So some of the things I post are just practical ways to make healthy meals on an average day. Know what I’m sayin’?
For pricing purposes I’ll say one wrap is one serving.
1/2 Chicken Breast – $.62
One serving of broccoli – $.20
One serving of dressing – $.05
One tortilla – $.17
One serving: $1.04
